Commission Rates

If you, as a seller, have had dealings with art galleries or auction houses, you know that most commission rates can average 35 to 50 percent or higher. We at Northshore Art Auctions want to share a mutually beneficial working relationship with our clients so we try to keep our rates as low as is feasible. Our goal is to offer our clients a safe, easy to use and profitable platform on which to sell their artwork and we believe our low commission rates reflect this goal.

And in that spirit we have waived the following fees normally found on most auctions.

Registration for Buyers or Sellers is free.
There is no charge, fixed or percentage based, to post an item so you can post your item(s) as many times as you like without losing part of your final sale price to posting fees.
No hidden fees for the Reserve Price of Buy-it Now features.
Free uploading and storage for your Item Description pictures.

Commission Rates	These rates apply only to the final selling price at the close of the auction and do not reflect any additions such as shipping, handling, sales tax, etc.
0 to $5,000	20%
$5,001 and up	15%

As part of the mutually beneficial working relationship with our clients we ask that the full amount of the commission(s) be paid within 30 days after the auction closing date. We operate our auction on an honor system and with a professionalism that we take pride in and anticipate the same from our clients.

We are currently working with local financial systems to set up a confidential and safe online payment structure. Until that is finalized, we ask that you submit your commission in the form of a check, money order or bank draft to the following address.
